Oakley MX Goggles. Take A Victory Lap.
With over 30 years of experience in motocross and our unyielding passion for innovation, it’s no surprise pros like Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, Davi Millsaps and Ryan Dungey take performance to the medal stand in Oakley MX Goggles. A face-hugging shield, rapid-fire tearoff system and scratch-resistant Lexan® lens maximize downward visibility for a clear view from the front of the pack. With Oakley MX Goggles, you’ll savor every mud bath on the dirt track.
MX Goggle Technology
Oakley MX Goggles set industry standards for optical protection and projectile rejection without sacrificing comfort and fit. Anti-fog and Iridium lens coatings keep your view of the medal stand clear. They’re crash tested. Championship approved.
Impact Protection
When Oakley designs goggles, protection is at the forefront. The most stringent impact testing is called ANSI Z87.1. The High Velocity test uses a stainless steel ball traveling at 172 mph. The High Mass test uses a 500-gram conical tipped missile dropped from a height of 50 inches. Drop Ball is a test that targets the lens with a 1-inch steel ball from a height of 50 inches, and the Penetration test uses a 44-gram #25 needle dropped from 50 inches.
Anti-Fog
All Oakley MX goggles use the company’s proprietary F2 anti-fog coating to eliminate haze in the heat of competition. Snowcross and Enduro goggles feature the added benefit of dual-vented lenses to create a thermal barrier between you and the elements, in addition to the enhanced performance of Oakley’s exclusive F3 anti-fog technology which can absorb a minimum of 2ml of water.
Iridium® Lens Coating
Oakley Iridium lens coatings allow the wearer to tune transmission for any light condition. Superheated metallic oxides are fused to the lens at a molecular level, permanently bonding to create a uniform filtering layer that optimizes contrast and minimizes glare. The coatings are specifically formulated to reduce glare and increase contrast while improving depth perception in a wide variety of light conditions.
Frame Composition
Engineering breakthroughs in structural materials allow Oakley to produce lightweight, high-performance goggle frames that maintain superior protection and comfort. The polymers in O Matter® goggle chassis are formulated for high durability and controlled flexibility for improved safety during impact, as well as maintaining resistance to ultraviolet radiation, humidity, thermal shock and chemical exposure.
Fit & Comfort
Developed with 3-D CAD/CAM engineering for a true anatomical fit, Oakley MX goggles are designed to offer the highest level of comfort and performance. Contoured frame architecture provides a continuous seal against dust and debris while allowing moisture to wick away from the skin. All Oakley MX goggles take advantage of triple-density fleece foam for optimized comfort and maximum sweat absorption.
Athletes:
James Stewart
When he’s hammering out 20 laps on an unforgiving Supercross track, the last thing James Stewart wants to worry about is his vision. That’s why he wears the Oakley CROWBAR®. For his Signature Series goggle, he chose a Gold Tribal finish and matched it with clear LEXAN® lens that’s optimized with Oakley F2 anti-fog technology.
Ricky Carmichael
Ricky Carmichael didn’t become the winningest rider in history by compromising on performance. That’s why the Oakley O Frame® has been his choice for every title chase. Rendered with RC’s choice of mercury finish, this Signature Series goggle combines a wide-open peripheral view with unbeatable clarity of Oakley’s High Definition Optics (HDO®)
MX Goggle Lens Tints
Extensive lens tint options provide riders with true tint diversity because eyewear serves a different purpose on the track. Choose from a full spectrum of lens colors to balance light transmission, depth perception and color recognition.
